Iowa is the latest Rock CD freed by the highly group Slipknot and they have once again delivered a brilliant collection of tracks. I’m convinced Slipknot fans, and Rock fans similar will be pleased with this one.

I wish it weren’t the case but, it’s not daily that I get a CD for review that I may just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is normally a song or two that I just can’t strength myself to get through. Not at all the case with Iowa. Every track is pleasurable and was gorgeous easy for me to listen to from get started to finish.

Iowa is a nicely varied, mix of 14 tracks that are very well written and brilliantly performed songs by these distinctly gifted musicians. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a actually great listen. Clearly drawing from what I may only imagine are their own real life experiences. At dissimilar points touching on the most real emotions of love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They’re all here.

Listen and I think you’ll agree that the song selections are excellent, the production is outstanding and Slipknot is without doubt or question a group that is in top form.

While the entire CD is genuinely very good numerous of my favorites are track 3 – Disasterpiece, track 5 – Everything Ends, and track 6 – The Heretic Anthem

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 8 – Left Behind. It’s a outstanding track!

Iowa Review

This zany travel guide presents a more queer state than the Iowa Tourism Office might like out-of-towners to imagine. Leaving out the traditionalisti scenic trips to the Mississippi River bluffs and the Amana Colonies, this guide will take the adventurous traveler to the future birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk, the home of the “Lonely Goat Herder” marionettes from The Sound of Music, and the world’s greatest Cheeto. To heighten the experience of this strange side of Iowa, the guide includes facts regarding a heap of events in Iowa’s history, such as Ozzy Osbourne’s illfamed bat-biting incident and Jesse James’s introductory moving-train robbery. Iowa is depicted as the birthplace of the Roto-Rooter, the Delicious apple, the electronic computer, the reinforced concrete bridge, and the Eskimo pie. The accompanying photographs and maps will direct travelers to other fun vacation spots and attractions, including the butter sculptures at the Iowa State Fair, the annual National Skillet Throw, the Hobo Convention and Museum, the Ice Cream Capital of the World, and the National Balloon Museum.

5I came, I saw, I cantered cornfields
By TundraVision
I bought this book for my recent foray down to Des Moines for a conference. On the way home, I took a cornfield tour guided by Jerome Pohlen’s fun book. Try it, you & your kids &/or whoever you’re travelling with will love it!

5Oddball Iowa

The book arrived on time, in EXCELLENT condition. I gave it to my brother, who has everything, for his birthday. He absolutely loved it, and will use it on vacations this year.
